English is not my first language
I\u2019m Brazilian, so my first language is Portuguese. I learned English at a young age, and since most of the media I consume is in English, it quickly became a big part of my life. As an English teacher here in Brazil, I\u2019ve spent years studying and teaching the language\u2014so I\u2019d say I know it pretty well.
I am constantly drawing inspiration from things around me
As I mentioned, most of the media I consume is originally in English \u2014books, movies, songs… All of it, mostly because I love art and I love seeing the way people choose to express themselves.
I am a horrible driver, but an okay cook
Not that important, to be fair, but still, it makes me who I am so I will admit it. Though I\u2019m legally allowed to drive, I avoid it for everyone\u2019s safety\u2014mine, my passengers’, and the innocent pedestrians just minding their business.
In the kitchen, I am less of a disaster. Not perfect, but not too awful. I am <\/em>trying to improve, though, I promise. I can make a pretty mean chicken stroganoff if anyone is interested.
I love tea and cats
Much more important fact. I am a tea and a cat lover. Nothing beats the feeling of cozying up on a cold night with a cup of tea, a book in your hand and a cat in your lap – argue with the wall.
